whO ARE WE?

Welcome to The Strawberry Thief, a William Morris Sixth Form emagazine. We are setting out to bring you thoughtful perspectives about a range of issues that our community finds important - "every issue, in every issue", as you may have already noticed on our homepage. 

As an establishment that caters to young people getting ready to step into the adult world, we believe that we have a responsibility to create opportunities to learn, achieve and empower. Our emagazine is merely one way through which we empower our students. 

When we chose the name of our emagazine, there were many questions. 

Why this title? What does it mean?

Naturally, the legacy of William Morris himself had to continue in our publication too. The Strawberry Thief is of course the name of one his notable works. In his design, Morris focuses on thrushes stealing strawberries from his garden. Like William Morris, we too find inspiration in what is around us. Our reporters, editors and podcast hosts investigate and bring to you little treasures just like the strawberry thief William Morris came across. 

We hope that you will join us in this venture and support the many talented young people who are part of our emagazine.
